Multiple arrests in Taber vehicle theft case

Taber Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence on 58th Avenue and seized stolen property including iPods laptops cell phones sports gear vehicle keys purses IDs GPS units and cameras. Three Taber residents aged 19 to 21 face 20 charges including possession of stolen property and possession of proceeds of crime with court dates in November 2010.

Alberta Health Act revisions coming in full

Health Minister Gene Zwozdesky accepted all 15 recommendations from the Putting People First report and will introduce a proposed Alberta Health Act in the fall as part of reform. MLA Broyce Jacobs said the act will focus on placing people first and creating new public engagement and a health charter. Critics say the plan offers only principles, not concrete measures to fix staff shortages wait times and crowded ER wards.
