Conservatives cruise to win Medicine Hat riding
Conservative LaVar Payne won Medicine Hat in the 2008 federal election, taking about 23,308 votes to 3,824 for NDP candidate Wally Regeher. Bev Botter led Liberals and Kevin Dodd led Green Party with 2,368 and 2,093 votes respectively as results rolled in.
