Wellness Walk Draws Large Crowd in Taber
The first annual Wellness Walk hosted by Taber Community Against Drugs drew about 600 mostly children, plus TV crews. Sergeant Howard Kehler presented the Drug-Free Zone idea, with youth chorus support and information booths from AADAC TCAD RCMP and Town of Taber. Jodi Faith led a performance advocating a drug free lifestyle and signatures on slips, amid a raffle funded by local businesses.

Drug Free Zones In Taber Expanded To 35 Signs
After four years of work 35 signs were installed around a two block radius near Immanuel Christian-Taber Campus Dr Hamman St Patrick St Marys Central and W R Myers schools and the Taber Skateboard Park designating drug free zones. Sgt Howard Kehler of the Taber Police Service stressed the need to spread the message and warned stronger penalties for drug trafficking within zones. Under Section 10 subsection two.
