Barnwell considers doubling local franchise fee on power lines
The Village of Barnwell proposes raising the municipal franchise fee charged to FortisAlberta from 7.5 per cent to 15 per cent, effective January 1, 2025. The notice says the fee is recovered from FortisAlberta customers as the local municipal access fee on electric bills.
