Grey Cup champion to headline Taber parade
Taber hosts its annual parade on Saturday with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. and a 11 a.m. start. Honorary marshal is Jeff Perrett, CFL offensive lineman for the Montreal Alouettes, who helped win the Grey Cup in Calgary. Local war veterans lead the procession past 48th Street and 50th Avenue. After the parade, the Agri-Plex hosts a demolition derby around 1 p.m. and an amateur rodeo at 5 p.m., with a Sunday performance at 1 p.m.
