Taber EMS Celebrates First Awareness Week May 22 27
Taber Emergency Medical Services marks its first Awareness Week with school colouring contests and a May 24 blood pressure clinic at the town office. EMT Tim Kinahan says the program aims to show EMS as medical professionals with training and to grow events for next year. The service covers Taber, Barnwell, and Grassy Lake, serving about 12 500 people over 725 square miles with 24 7 staffing.

Aerial Photos Aim to Aid M D of Taber and Partners
The M D of Taber plans to join seven or eight municipalities in the Ortho project to obtain regular air photos for accurate land use, rail, oil and construction planning. Reeve Hank Van Beers says shared costs and provincial grants make the program affordable and beneficial for development.
