Operation Sky High raises thousand for Taber Health Foundation
Safeway's We Care program totals just over $22,000 as of Monday and Operation Sky High on May 5 brought in about $16,000. Nine volunteers used roof access and scissor lifts to collect donations from customers while a bedpan lowered to ground level gathered cash. Sheila Heal praises community support and notes more funds are expected from the event. Fundraisers for the year include Santa photos and a silent auction at Safeway the week of May 20 with further events planned through June 17 raffles.
