Eagle Spirit Nest Pow-Wow showcases Taber culture
Taber hosts its first Eagle Spirit Nest Pow-Wow May 11 12 at the Community Centre arena with a 1 p.m. grand entry. ESNCA founder Lisa Sowinski explains the event as a multicultural, Indigenous perspective driven effort to raise cultural awareness and reconciliation among 38 cultures represented in Taber and region. Local government police and community networks have partnered since the group formed in 2017, aiming to start a regional cultural exchange and educate residents.
