Four ladies in Parkside Manor basement worked about 100 hours to craft a black and red queen size quilt for charity. The Cotton Pickers Quilting Club, with over 20 members, donated it to STARS and hope it brings a strong bid and a good home. Mary McCulloch did the machine quilting.

STARS charity auction returns to Taber Legion hall
The 16th annual STARS fundraiser will be held April 2 at the Royal Canadian Legion with public viewing at 4 p.m. Supper at 5 p.m. and the auction at 7 p.m. Items include a 300 horsepower tractor value about 15000, snow blowers, sod, and sports memorabilia such as autographed jerseys from Sedin twins Luongo Carey Price and Ovechkin. Proceeds benefit Taber EMS and STARS, with past totals over 800000.
