Linden View resident Norma Porter turns 100 in Taber
Norma Porter, among Canada’s first women sent overseas in World War II, celebrated turning 100 at Linden View in Taber. The former Saskatchewan schoolteacher trained across Ottawa Calgary and Lethbridge before two and a half years in England and service in the intelligence department. She later settled in Taber and has reached a historic milestone alongside four other Linden View residents, with two more on track this year.
