Lions Host Benefit Supper for Ron Hackowicz in Taber
The Taber Lions Club and Friends host the Good Neighbours Supper and silent auction this Sunday at the community centre to raise funds for Ron Huck Hackowicz who suffered severe injuries from a 20 foot fall while topping a tree. Tickets are 10 dollars with children under four free. The event features 70 to 80 auction items including sports memorabilia and local jackets. Hackowicz, not covered by workers comp, is awaiting x rays in May and has doctors in Calgary to assess recovery and return to work. He remains in good spirits and grateful for community support.
