Municipal MSI funding held steady with future cuts planned
Town of Taber and other municipalities face a four year shift as MSI operating funding is phased out toward a Regional Collaboration Grant. The 2013-2014 budget keeps MSI capital at 896 million province wide and operating near 50 million, with projected starts in 2014-2015 and a zero target by 2018. Local leaders warn of infrastructure needs and possible borrowing to bridge gaps.
