Reverse food drive brings aid directly to Taber communities
The Solid Rock Youth and Family Foundation runs a four month old reverse food drive delivering food to households in Taber and nearby areas with help from the Taber Food Bank Society and Safe Haven referrals. Volunteers like Jeff and Angela Lindemann say early pickups included a mother with hungry children and a domestic dispute turning calmer after assistance. The program expanded from six to sixteen households, with weekly trips and modest food offerings aimed at complete meals rather than large quantities. The Rock emphasizes compassion and spiritual guidance, continuing as long as food and discernment allow.
