Library tender nudges closer in Taber town project
The Taber town council awarded Lear Construction Management Ltd. a base tender of 1,849,710 for a new regional library with three add‑ons bringing the total to 1,860,710. Mayor Ray Bryant said construction could start in spring with completion aimed for mid November.

Former Taber resident injured on duty in Afganistan
Former Taber resident Bernie Catton reports her son Second Lieutenant Kelly Catton of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry was wounded by a rocket attack in Afghanistan. He sustained shrapnel in both ankle and rear but remains in good spirits and set to recover at Camp Nathan Smith, with return anticipated in August.
