Taber to Pay CPR Up to 2.55 Million for 57th Street Crossing
The town of Taber approved a 2.55 million dollar deal with Canadian Pacific Railway to relocate three spur lines and allow a 57th Street crossing linking Highway 3 to downtown. Mayor Ray Bryant called the project foundational, while Coun. Randy Sparks opposed the agreement citing secrecy about costs.
