Fire destroys potato storage in Taber blaze with $1.3 million loss
A cutting torch sparked insulation in a potato storage building at 5804 54th Ave. Taber. The facility and contents burned quickly, causing about $1.3 million in damages. One worker was treated for burns and two firefighters for smoke inhalation. all escaped serious injury. The injured man was airlifted to Calgary after initial care at Taber Health Centre.
