AltaLink route faces opposition from Taber area council
At a Feb 14 meeting M D of Taber council heard residents oppose AltaLink's preferred Picture Butte to Etzikom Coulee 240 kV route crossing Highway 3 near Cranford. Delegations from potato growers and farmers cite high priced farmland, spraying drift risks, property values and irrigation impacts, calling for reconsideration before AUC approval in fall 2013.
