Taber Crime Summary Includes Assaults Disturbances And Vandalism
A Taber woman is charged with failing to comply with conditions and assaulting a peace officer after a complaint she would not leave a residence. Other incidents include disturbances, threats, assault, vandalism to tires and a vehicle, stolen cigarettes, and a fence damage under investigation. Several offenders to appear in Taber court.

Two Local Men Face Court Sentences In Tabor
In Tabor provincial court on December 22, 20 year old Lethbridge man William A. Rhodes pleaded guilty to two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking and was fined 1000 dollars by Judge S L Oishi. Rhodes breached a condition by contacting a prohibited individual seven times via text and Facebook on December 8 and 11. Rhodes received a 150 dollar victim fine surcharge. Also in Tabor, Ross Jay Jensen was fined 500 dollars for theft under 5000 after pleading guilty to five withdrawals totaling 599.21 from a former spouse’s line of credit between September 2 and September 8, 2008, with restitution paid in full and a 75 dollar victim fine surcharge imposed.

Locals named to Region 12 Health Advisory Council
Alberta Health Services Board appointed nine Health Advisory Councils including Region 12 holders Taberites George Epp Kathryn Petrunia and Sharon Solvey and Barnwell resident Kerry Milder. Councils aim to engage communities gather input on local health care services with four to six annual meetings and chair recommendations. The appointments cover two to three year terms with orientations in January and second meetings by March.
