Alberta delays cellphone bill to form distracted driving category
The Standing Committee on the Economy sent Bill 204 back for review to create a broader distracted driving offense. MLA Ken Allred said the bill should become a separate category with police discretion, covering cellphone use, in-car distractions, and potential hands free devices.
