Canada and US reach cross border organic trade deal
Canada and the United States reach an agreement to recognize each other’s organic certifications. Canadian products can be marketed in the US as organic without extra US certification, and US organic products will meet Canadian standards. CFIA will recognize US certifiers. OPR comes into effect June 30.
