Tax Increase Plans Face Three Year Budget Outlook
The town approves a four per cent tax rise to boost revenue by $330,000 and adopts a three-year budget forecast with 6 per cent in 2005 and 5 per cent in 2006. Officials note future infrastructure needs, including a $21 million water system upgrade, possibly funded by borrowing up to $16 million, raising taxes up to 29 per cent.
