MTS plans to roll out its high speed internet service in Killarney during the first week of September. The launch marks a new service phase for residents seeking faster connections and improved online access.
The Town of Killarney has filed with the Public Utilities Board for a rate increase on water and sewer services. If approved, customers using under 20 000 gallons quarterly would face a 14.2 to 16 percent rise in bills.

The community prepares two Terry Fox Run events in Glenboro with school and Rec District participation. The 3km and 8km routes run Sunday after a Thursday school pledge drive, with hot dogs and drinks from local sponsors and a top fundraiser prize from Westoba Credit Union.
The South Westman Regional Health Authority plans an accreditation survey with 11 acute care and 18 personal care homes in the region. A debriefing is set for Friday, Sept. 14, with a formal report due about two months after.
