Work begins on a new hotel to be built over the Boyne Valley at Treherne along the No 2 highway. Plans include six double rooms a restaurant and dining area for 32 and a banquet room for 70 plus a beverage room for 80 to 150 people. Robert Jenkinson named owner and manager.
