Manitou seniors complex to start April for fall 1997 occupancy
The Eleven of the twelve suites have been sold in the new seniors complex planned for Manitou. Work is expected to start about April 1st and be ready for occupancy by the fall of 1997. Successful year St. Leon Co-op saw sales over 19 million and earnings over 1 million. Fifteen Sytnyk family members traveled to Hawaii for their 50th wedding anniversary. The Harvest Moon motel with 18 suites opens at Roblin. Boissevain to gain Dr. Chris Burnett in mid-summer. Birtle Pool Elevator stops accepting grain as of November 29. Birtle once hosted three elevators.
