St. Mary's Cultural Centre sparks growth in Yorkton economy
The Ukrainian Catholic Cultural Centre in Yorkton, raised by Father-Provincial Michael Bzdel and 300 volunteers led by Peter Kobylka, drew conventions and tourism, boosting local employment and revenue. The 1992 facility seats 760 for banquets and 1,000 for meetings with an 85 seat archives room, Ukrainian museum, and a memorial prayer space.

Boissevain Co op rejects opening in Robinson Store and Robinson’s closes December 24. A vandal damaged a warming shed at Carberry Nuisance Grounds used by winter supervisor.
