Killarney RCMP found 150 marijuana plants two miles west and one mile south of Glenora. Plants stood 2 to 4.5 feet tall with a street value around 180000 dollars. Owner is unidentified and police continue the inquiry. Tips to Crimestoppers or the local RCMP are requested.
Killarney RCMP report 14 new files this week with three break ins and thefts in Roblin and Killarney. Roblin saw cash liquor watches and knives stolen. the culprits are identified. A shed behind 624 Broadway Ave in Killarney was broken into stealing a skill saw and crossbow. A Rock Lake Beach Church Camp shed was broken into with a MasterCraft tool box tools green weed eater and a Black and Decker saw stolen. a fire extinguisher sprayed and graffiti noted in the dining area along with 10 CDs. Reckless driving reported in Rock Lake Beach. Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall vandalized with grey paint on exterior. A stolen vehicle case investigated after a driver forgot where parked post a hard shift on Thirsty Thursday. Also reported: 22 new files in a week. Belmont resident beaten at Cypress River social. involved parties unclear. Early morning boat incident at Strathcona Park left two intoxicated males stranded on the beach after hitting trailers. quiet resolution noted.
The Family Picnic at Baldur Manor is moved to August 25 from 2 30 to 7 00 p m. The change updates the event time and date for attendees.
