Man Killed on Hart Highway This Week
Marcus J. Friess, 58, of Estevan Saskatchewan, drowned when his car rolled into a ditch near Coyote Creek. His body was found Sunday afternoon by a passing truck driver after leaving McLeod Lake en route to Dawson Creek. RCMP Corporal Ed Forrest leads the investigation with results expected. A large Legion turnout is planned for Sunday in the Chetwynd Day parade with about 55 Legionaries, 28 Auxiliary, 32 cubs, 26 guides, and 15 brownies. Floats will assemble at the Little Prairie Cafe at noon. Auxiliary berets will be issued at the McLane residence.
