Gerry’s Cash and Carry announces a new dry goods store in town with Walter and Mavis Gerry arriving from Dawson Creek. The Chetwynd Kinsmen’s Playground Drive is praised as a “Complete Success” and events include a Legion smoker at Groundbirch and a Taxi and Taxis franchise transfer to Ann and Bert Howell. The Howells offer a five-passenger Dodge Suburban and a highlight of community activities continues with a Community Hall event on September 4 and ongoing Legion building improvements.
