The upcoming Saturday December elections in Campbelltown and Ingleburn will elect nine and six aldermen respectively for three years. Several retiring aldermen seek re election while new candidates from farming and local business enter the race, including W N Rudd James Kershler junr Whitehead H R Wilkinson J C Storey J H Sheil S J Allen C Gore and W G Evans. Last week’s雨y market at Campbelltown shows firmer bidding and higher prices across calves cattle and pigs. Sucking pigs ranged 14/6 to 13/6, slips to £1/7/6, porkers £2/7/6 to £2/18/6, calves small 5 to 13/6 and choice to £1/18/6, fat cows £4/14 to £6/7/6, fat heifers £3/16, cows with calves £5/2/6 to £10, store cows £4/16, heifers £3/16 to £3/18.

Campbelltown figures show H. McEwan of Camden securing No. 287 as the Labor League drives for ham. The Ladies Miniature Rifle Club holds a firm place in Campbelltown with weekly Tuesday rifle sessions and improving scores. A club meeting is set for Memorial School of Arts on Wednesday evening.

Methodist Spring Fair at Campbelltown Raises Funds Despite Rain
The Campbelltown Methodist Church Aid Society hosted its annual Spring Fair amid wet weather last Saturday. Mrs Nesbitt and Mrs Palmer from Camden judged cooking entries while Rev Kad Wilkinson opened the event with a short prayer. Mr Stewart of Sydney donated £2 2s to aid the bazaar, as Eileen Bailey presented a motor car model to him. Numerous stalls offered cakes, scones, tarts, flowers, and crafts with extensive volunteer effort noted from many local families and workers.
