The district reports a tumultuous spell with 18 points Tuesday afternoon storm and 410 points Wednesday heavy rain. Camden logged 337 points Wednesday night, Campbelltown 276 points between 3 and 4.30 pm Wednesday flooding flats to Minto, with more rain expected.
At a Campbelltown Council meeting Alderman Westbury decried straying stock at Minto as a district curse and public danger. Drought drives stock onto roads where many wander and die untraceably. the council bears costs for burning or removal. Ponies roam freely and threaten residents. legal advice will determine if owners can be pursued without impounding first.
Alderman Westbury raised concern over a paling fence at Minto school corner blocking views of traffic on the Sydney road. The Council ordered the Clerk to request the Educational Department to replace it with an open fence to reduce danger after recent accidents.
The Agricultural Society's Committee met last Saturday with 16 members present. They discussed donations from firms for prizes, salary and attendance hours for the secretary, and office hours before the 1926 exhibition on March 12 and 13 at the society ground.
A correspondent urges that a company be wound up now that another firm has superseded it. The writer notes practical local directors and assets including a separating plant and rented premises, mentions Sunset Dairy Co. as owner of some machinery, asks about divvies and potential liabilities, and proposes Mr George Kershler as liquidator.

The Methodist Spring Fair opens at 3 pm today and tomorrow with Mr Stewart and Mrs Lang in attendance. An auction section highlights two sales: Baldock to sell late Mr G Young's furniture, and the fort nightly stock sale on Monday.
After weeks of illness George Edward Young died at his Queen Street home in Campbelltown on a Friday afternoon. Born August 26 1854 in Adelaide he lived 51 years in business across Newtown Camden Cataract Dam and Campbelltown, supporting the Camden Hospital and local causes. He was a longtime Freemason with multiple lodges and servers. survived by wife Lucy Jane Spice, children Ronald E Young and two daughters, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, with a large funeral procession and Masonic rites at St Peter's Church.
Mrs Henry Akers died quietly at East Kangaroo land on the 16th alt near Campbelltown birthplace. She was 96 and survived by 1 daughter and 4 sons among 10 sons and 3 daughters with 96 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She helped charter a Shellharbour to Sydney boat and her husband joined the Berrima Company drive. Her funeral was held at Burrawang Roman Catholic cemetery with Rev Father Martin officiating.
