Accidental Timbering Injury Hits Appin Man
Mr Henry Budden of Appin suffered a broken thigh and several ribs when a fallen tree trunk slammed him after a power saw cut. Mrs Mary Thomas of Narellan is announced dead with interment at St Thomas Church Cemetery. Mrs Howes of Minto is wished sympathy.

Electricity Committee Report Adopts Vehicle and Power Measures
The June 19 report to Council from the local Electricity Committee chaired by Ald Lea recommends sharing maintenance of vehicles with local garages and, if possible, performing work at work sites to avoid disrupting water heating programs. It also proposes covering added costs from the Railways Department for off peak electricity to power heating, and increases council charges from 17 1951 to 1d per kwh. After-hours duties grant W Smith and W Wassall an on-call allowance of £2 weekly plus a £5 weekly telephone cost allowance.
