Second Annual Speech Day and Prize Distribution
The Macquarie Theatre Campbelltown hosted the 2nd Annual Speech Day on December 9 with Rev. I D Armitage presiding and prizes presented by Mrs. Macarthur Onslow. An audience of over 300 heard a varied programme as students received numerous Form IV and Primary prizes, special certificates, and sports awards. A year’s competitions prize list names multiple students and sponsors, with a planned match against Liverpool Miniature Rifle Club on January 8 1927.

Campbelltown Ladies Banquet Highlights Rifle Club Night
The Campbelltown Ladies Miniature Rifle Club held its second annual banquet at the range on Tuesday evening with a strong turnout. A competition shoot opened the evening and Miss Myra Fitzpatrick donated chocolates for the top score with handicap. Miss Maxie Forbes won the prize. Presentations were made during the event.

Farm Stock Sale At Campbelltown Yards Draws Large Attendance
A large crowd attended the fortnightly stock sale by auctioneer A E Baldock at Campbelltown Yards. Prices held steady with pigs hard to sell and calves and springers showing limited gains. Next sale postponed to January 10 due to New Year’s Day. Also notes four pupils from London College of Music exam group passed Pianoforte Work.

Annual Prize giving Night of Campbelltown Troop
The 1st Campbelltown Scout Troop held its annual prize giving with C N Hannaford chairing. District Commissioner R O D Stuckey presented certificates for district swimming and athletic carnivals. Medals donated by Mr and Mrs Boydell were awarded for Troop athletic champions. Greg Wolves won the Inter-Patrol banner.
