Robert Moore aged 27, a returned soldier from the Campbelltown Soldiers Settlement, died after an operation at Camden District Hospital. A Digger and Anzac, he served King and country and was secretary of the Campbelltown Branch of the Australian Labor League. His brothers who went to war are also deceased. His funeral, a military service, was held at St Peter's Cemetery Campbelltown.

Drowning Fatality Among Boy Scouts at Menangle River
Robert Byrne son of Robert Byrne of Burwood died by accidental drowning while swimming with a Boy Scout troupe at Menangle on the Nepean River. The inquest in Camden heard accounts from Constable Leary and Scout Master Power describing attempts to reach him and the river depth of about twenty to thirty feet. The coroner’s finding praised Swift for diving to aid Byrne and warned leaders to supervise swimming activities more closely.
