Xmas Vacation Party Draws 500 at Town Hall Camden

The P and C Association event last Tuesday night at the Town Hall drew about 500 attendees, mainly school children, generating a profit of £32 8s 8d. Shares were roughly £11 each for the P C, Red Cross, and the A C F. At Camden Council on Monday night Alderman H S Kellaway was unanimously re elected Mayor for a seventh year.

Diggers Austerity Party At Masonic Hall Campbelltown

Campbelltown Sub Branch RUSS and A.LLA members and families held an Austerity Party at the Masonic Hall. About 18 attendees enjoyed toasts, songs, and recitations honoring returned service members. The event featured Mrs Sedgwick and Mr A E Ross as hosts and included tributes to King George VI, the Returned Sailors Soldiers and Airmen, and absent members. Chief Petty Officer Bob MacDonald was farewelled as he leaves for Melbourne.

Campbelltown Council confirms mayor and deputy mayor

During a Finance Committee meeting on Tuesday night Alderman P C Marlow was unanimously re-elected Mayor. Alderman P Solomon was re-elected Deputy Mayor. The mayoral allowance was fixed at £50.

The Aldermen commend council staff for efficiency and award honorariums to town officials. Wedding of Sergeant Ferguson and Corporal Anderson in Campbelltown

Louis and Mrs. Anderson of Campbelltown at St. Davids Presbyterian Church Campbelltown on November 23. Best man was Sergeant Norman Robertson R.A.A.F. Bridesmaid was Joyce Anderson twin sister of the bride. Rev. Louis Anderson officiated. Reception at The Manse. Mother of the groom attended. The couple will return to duty in Queensland after a seaside holiday.

Valedictory Farewell for Campbelltown MacDonalds
