Alderman Farnsworth asked Campbelltown Council on Tuesday night to consider two temporary lavatories at the Menangle Bridge Swimming Pool funded by Menangle residents. Permission from Perpetual Trustee Co Ltd would allow two facilities on Edrop Estate river-adjacent land with Works Overseer supervision. A permanent picnic ground on the opposite riverbank, owned by Camden Park Estate Pty Ltd, is also being explored, with Wollondilly Shire Engineer assessing the matter and potential land resumption if pursued.

Concert at Menangle Red Cross Benefit in Camp
A successful concert was held at the School of Arts in Menangle on Wednesday 28 November by the 45th Militia Battalion in camp at Menangle Park to aid the Menangle Red Cross. The 25 performer band and about a dozen others presented a varied program with encored numbers and a buffet supper followed. Proceeds totaled nearly £6 for Red Cross materials.
