The Services Queen Committee held its fortnightly meeting led by Hon. Organising Secretary A H Bysouth. Funds are rising but need more support. The Queen was nominated by the Diggers and tickets for the 22 December raffle should be sold quickly.

Prize winner Bill Vardy returned the luck prize to the fund. Campbelltown Red Cross Street Stall Draws Funds

Campbelltown Red Cross street stall hosted by Mrs Worrell and Mrs Darling on 1 December raised 5 pounds 18 shillings 8 pence for the Branch General Funds. November street collections totaled 21 pounds 14 shillings 6 pence. Mrs N Deane and others contributed. A Christmas stall is set for 13 December with an apron competition offering prizes of 5 shillings and 2 shillings 8 pence. Exhibits due by 11 am 18 December. A business meeting is planned for 17 December at 2 30 PM.

Electricity Restrictions Hit Campbelltown Amid Coal Strike

Severe controls restrict gas and electric use across city and countryside. Hot water, external lighting, and public venues barred. internal lighting cut to one fifth. Cooking allowed limited hours on weekdays and weekends with set tea and coffee limits.
