The Ingleburn triennial election drew 431 voters from 15 candidates for six Aldermen. Incumbents Ald. H Chivers and C Luff were re-elected, Ald. W J Chapman lost, while AldS A Alde F Moore G Hopping and F A Graham did not seek re election. The Returning Officer announced results about three hours after booths closed.

Grass Fires Threaten Vast Grazing Lands Near Campbelltown
Last Friday Campbelltown Fire Brigade responded twice to country fires. At Mt Culead estate a blaze from the water race menaced miles of grazing land. 40 acres burned before 12 volunteers and estate staff extinguished it. A separate Euglore estate fire sparked by lightning formed three outbreaks but caused little damage. Captain H S Reeve led operations.
