Lice Sweeping Town Hall Sparks Council Debate
At the last council meeting Alderman Dwyer called out the Mayor over reports the Town Hall is dirty. Caretaker P Warner says he found swarms of lice along with 40 to 50 young birds and eggs during cleaning. He fumigated, plans bird proofing, and urges £8 for services at the next session. A Lager Beer Bottle from 1893 was found with names of workers on the hall’s erection.

Main Southern Road Work Halted at Kenny Hill
Mr W Davies M L A says the Dept of Local Government will not continue the Main Southern Road project at Kenny Hill for now. The Camden Municipal Council’s plea to extend the work to the railway bridge was declined. The matter was sent to the Unemployment Relief Committee chairman for possible future consideration if new relief works are started.

Fire District costs were estimated at £258 with one third payable by the council and a rate inquiry involving Donovan Home was raised with advice sought from the Local Government Solicitor.

Campbelltown Council Minutes Record Meeting Actions
Aldermen Gamble and Dwyer moved to adopt the minutes of the previous meeting after read by the Town Clerk.
