Alleged Petrol Theft Attempt At Appin Garage

At about 1.15 am last Saturday Joseph D Arcy detained three men and two women at his Bulli Road garage in Appin after confronting petrol thieves. Police, led by Sergeant Nagle and Constable Quinn, arrived about 20 minutes later. The report recalls D Arcy’s past military service and notes his death after a later accident with sympathy extended to his brother Fred Moore of Badgally Homebush.

Death of Essington Moore at Oran Park after train collision

Essington Moore of Oran Park Narellan aged 56 died following a October 6 road crash that left him seven weeks in Masonic Hospital Ashfield. He died Friday evening and was buried Monday at St Johns Church of England cemetery beside his parents. Clergy Rev T G Paul and Rev A Fr Pain RD officiated at church and graveside in a large funeral attended by relatives and friends. Moore, heir to his father’s grazing estates including Blair Athol, lived much of life at Badgally Campbelltown after early schooling and time in England.

Campbelltown Methodist Sale of Work Opens at Town Hall

Ladies' Church Aid hosts annual Sale of Work in Campbelltown with stalls, tea, and competitions. Dignitaries including Mr. Doust and Rev.
