A long obituary recounts Bede Keane born in Queensland, who with family moved to Sydney then Maryfields Campbelltown and later managed three station properties with his brother Arthur. After Arthur’s death he ran estates alone until ill health forced retirement. He was renowned for charity in Melbourne and Wagga Wagga, lived prayerfully, and was given a Solemn Office and Requiem Mass at St. John’s Campbelltown with Bishop J. Dwyer presiding. Burial at Catholic cemetery Campbelltown followed by a large funeral procession.
