Campbelltown reopens its Chamber of Commerce after a lull since 1949. About 25 local traders attended at the RSL Hall with Bursill in the chair. New officers were considered as the group plans renewed civic activity and town interests.
A list of results from the Conservatorium of Music Sydney and Trinity College London shows St Patrick’s College Campbelltown pupils attaining honours and credits in practical and theoretical piano singing violin and music theory. Notable names include June Longhurst Mary Naughton Elizabeth Farrow Barbara Nash John Tesseyman Diana Milliken Caroline Deighton and Ken Kidson among others.
Dr. Adrianus van der Hoeven, born in Utrecht, Holland, is named minister-elect of St. David's Presbyterian Church Campbelltown. He and his family left Holland and are due in Melbourne December 14 with induction scheduled December 18 at St. David's.
