Motor Collisions on Sydney Road Near Chamberlain Street
Shortly after 5 p m on Sunday a motor car travelling toward Sydney collided with a car driven by Mr W O Loughlin of Campbelltown on the Sydney road near Chamberlain Street. None of the occupants were seriously hurt but the driver alleged to be responsible had already left the scene before police arrived. Further enquiries are being conducted.

Drayman narrowly escapes as lorry crashes near Appin Road
On Wednesday at 6.40am E Hodge driving a dray near A Collett's residence beside Appin Road turned perilously when an opposite lorry struck the wagon. Hodge escaped injury apart from a tender left arm bump, while the horses and wagon sustained damage including broken spokes and wagon felling the rafters. The lorry driver was unhurt despite a broken windscreen and mudguard. Authorities suggest dew on the windscreen caused a misjudged bend at speed.
