East Minto Social Sends Cecil Piggott Off in Style
About 30 friends gathered at East Minto Congregation Church on a Wednesday evening to bid farewell to Cecil Piggott. The program featured a jumble competition games and harmony with musical items by Miss A Piggott Miss Beihler Mr W Dick Mr OPtt and Pastor A Taylor. The pastor voiced good wishes for his future prosperity as supper was served and the gathering ended with hymns and Auld Lang Syne.

Campbelltown Centenary Committee Sets Banquet Plan
The Centenary Celebrations committee met in Council Chambers and finalised illuminated certificates while debating the first night banquet. They planned a banquet on December 2 with the Mayor's ball later, appointed officials for the event, and arranged a children's day presided by the Mayoress. The sports program for September 25 rests with the Sports Committee. next meeting is Monday evening.

The Campbelltown Bed Endowment committee met at Mr G E Young’s residence on the 5th. Present were Mr Bursill senr Dr Mawson C N Hannaford and G E Young. They agreed to retain two beds at Camden District Hospital for £60 and donate £15 to Renwick Hospital for Children. Subscriptions total £76 11s with new donors listed. Office-bearers were elected: President S Bursill senr hon secretary G E Young and committee members Mawson Hannaford Kershler and Sheather.

Surprise Gift as School of Arts Invades Congregational Hall
During a Choral Society practice in Campbelltown, about twenty School of Arts members unannounced entered Congregational Hall and occupied seats. Dr. Mawson received a cigarette case from Mr. Sheather and the School of Arts committee as thanks for his work. The evening closed with songs, auctions, and the National Anthem.

Large Camp belltown Bazaar Opens For Memorial Hall Fund
On Friday August 20 1910 at 3 pm the Mayoress Mrs Hannaford will open one of Camp belltown’s largest bazaars to raise funds for the new School of Arts Memorial Hall. Ten stalls and side shows including a chocolate wheel hoop-la and shooting gallery promise broad appeal while Mrs P C Marlow and Miss Allen oversee preparations for a successful event.

Last Saturday the Kangaroos met Liverpool Kia oras on the local ground in cool squally weather. After a tight first half the Reds led 3 to 2 at the break, and the home side finished 3 to 2 favorites. Longhurst Kitching Sedgwick Meehan starred for the home team while Single Hoy Saunders and Sherack led the visitors with standout efforts. £1 3s 8d was donated to the Memorial Fund.

Last Saturday at Cor deaux Dam The Originals lost 3 to nil to Cordeaux Dam. Both sides played a lively match with ruck work and scrummage, good passing rushes, and strong tackling. A late five yard scrum halted a claimed try as referees and barrackers influenced the finish before tea was offered to visitors.
