Annual Meeting of MPBelltown Red Cross Branch
The MPBelltown Red Cross branch held its annual meeting at the Town Hall on Monday in July 1952 with Mrs J L Froggatt presiding. Officers elected included President Mrs J L Froggatt Ironess Mrs Marlow Secretary Mr J L Frog Treasurer Mrs C Brookes Auditor Mr K T Q and several vice presidents. Miss Dell spoke on Red Cross work including notes on free blood supply and visits from members was encouraged. The meeting noted branch activities at No 1 York Street and at the Headquarters shop for selling garments, tea rooms and rest work, and praised efforts to manage rising costs through increased contributions.

Wedderburn Ladies Form Auxiliary for Fruitgrowers Building
A meeting of wives whose husbands helped build the Fruitgrowers Co operative Building in Wedderburn formed a Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs E S Claydon was named chair with Mrs P Lollard as secretary treasurer. An August 19 school event aims to raise funds for crockery and opening day catering.

Minto Horticultural Society Holds July Meeting
The Minto Horticultural Society held its first monthly meeting on Thursday July 10 with strong member and public turnout. Flower and vegetable exhibits impressed judges with top winners including Mrs Rays Messrs Bannister Rays Murry McNab McLeod Hayes Mrs Hayes Miss McNab Miss Murphy and Miss Warboys. Next meeting set for Thursday August 14 with hopes for an even better show and noting the secretary Mr R Benjamin.

Boy Scout Group to Stage Large Annual Fair
The Group Committee Scoutmasters parents and boys prepare for a major turnout at the Group Club Room on August 9. Ground and club rooms will host stalls selling cakes sweets drinks handicraft exhibition produce plants flowers second hand afternoon teas hoopla hot dogs and more. The amusements include boxing pillow fighting gold digging and darts while ladies compete in nail driving pegs into a basket and a 100 yard stopping contest. Prizes have been donated and more will be purchased for stalls and eateries. The official opening is at 3 pm with plans for a busy day ahead.

Campbelltown Petty Sessions Hearings Summary
The Campbelltown Court of Petty Sessions opened July 25. Robert Raymond Cook pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm and trespass, fined £5 and £2 with time to pay. A first offender was fined £7 or 14 days for house betting. Traffic offenders and a taxi driver were fined. Liquor Act breaches led to nominal fines for licensees and for persons on licensed premises during prohibited hours. Next session August 27.

New Road Signs Erected in Muni Despite Opposition
