Campbelltown Council Meets For a Busy Session
The Town Clerk reported balanced cash books as at 30 June 1933. An accident injured Health Inspector Mr Warner near the station, claim filed with South British Insurance. Emergency relief wages totaled 112 pounds 15 shillings for two weeks for 63 and 61 men, with specific street allocations listed. Works Committee urged road repairs at East Minto Public School and Pembroke Road for about 2 pounds. Council discussed railway roadway safety, water-hole drainage near the Methodist Church, Council Chamber table repairs, and procurement of street garbage receptacles. Plans for sanitary facilities on the Green and a potential takeover of Paul Street for public road status were debated.
