District Athletic Championship will be held Friday August 15 at Onslow Park Camden. The Camden Campbelltown Public Schools Amateur Athletic Association sponsors the event, running from 9.90 a.m. to 9.90 p.m.
Campbelltown hosts its first Exhibition since 1939 on April 2 with record membership over 150 and a net profit about £200. Council support restored track and facilities, with Hobart-like improvements and new hurdles, signaling bullish plans for a 1948 two day show.

Thursdays are now the day to gather latest vegetables. if delayed until Monday they deteriorate and become unsaleable. Only producer run sections remain open on Saturdays.
The Campbell town District Amateur Cycle Club met at Mr Fred Lowers shop on 24 July to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs M R Paull departing Campbelltown. President Jack Heplier presented a Mulga writing set and ashtray inscribed as a token of esteem. Fred Lower praised Bob for his sportsmanship and urged such examples to inspire local youth in sports. A farewell toast followed with Mr Paull expressing thanks and best wishes for the future.
Full yardings of pigs calves and mixed cattle last Tuesday drew a strong buyer turnout. Pigs commanded good prices with fat cows and beefy cattle selling firm. Dairy stock varied in quality with many on the plain side but quality sorts fetched solid figures.
