Taxpayers Call for Tax Reduction Amid Rising Burden
The Taxpayers Associations across Australia urge reductions in federal taxes, arguing per head costs havegrown from a dog licence to over 8 pounds. They cite the 1932-33 levy of one third of gross production, note SA bears the heaviest burden, and push to abolish the property super tax, the federal land tax, and sales tax, now yielding 9 million annually after a 38 million total since 1931.
