Obituaries for Jamestown area residents Michael Donnellan and Haeusler
The notice reports the death of Michael Joseph Donnellan of Belalie East on September 20 at his home. A farmer, Catholic, husband of Catherine Caulfield, with a daughter Teresa and a son John, he lived mainly in the Jamestown district. Also noted is the death of John August William Haeusler of North Parade, aged 80, born in the Jamestown district in 1868, a farmer who joined the Me thodist Church after retirement. Surviving are four sons and three daughters, with the funeral held at Jamestown cemetery, conducted by Rev. B. H. Phillips.

At the annual meeting the club elected W C Jettner as president R Giddings as vice president A J Francis as treasurer B J Francis as secretary W R Jettner as assistant secretary J Francis as A Grade captain W R Jettner as vice captain R Hollitt as B Grade captain and A Grade and B Grade delegates named. Courts have been renovated with extra room behind each. Yandiah School held its annual picnic in perfect weather. Electric lights will be installed in the local hall next week.
