Visiting Day at Gladstone High School Draws School Spirit
The Parents Association joined pupils for an assembly led by Mr. Parsons who gave a report on term work. Students sang the school hymn and Billy Boy, followed by the Soldier's Chorus from Faust. Prizes, ribbons, and cups were awarded for top subjects and Sports Day success, with afternoon tea served by the association.

In Gladstone Parish Hall, Rt Rev Dr R Thomas Bishop of Willochra was welcomed back from England by about 100 attendees led by Rev A H White. Archdeacon Dunn and Rev G W Scholefield spoke as the bishop noted his 14 clergy to serve in the diocese. Guests from Crystal Brook among others attended. Elma Campbell played an overture and dancing closed the evening.

The Belahe women’s station of the Agricultural Bureau meets two weeks early due to the Jamestown Show. Delegates report on the Annual Congress and discuss the proposed Summer School at Mt Lolly. Mrs. J. Brooks will speak on Vocations for Girls. Meeting is in Institute Bank Room on Tuesday October 5.
