Mid-North School Drives Patriotic Fund with £110 9s 6d
For the month ending November 24 the Mid-North District No 1 schools contributed £110 9s 6d to the Schools Patriotic Fund. Pirie Centre raised £60 15s 4d, Gladstone Centre £34 12s 1d, and Crystal Brook Centre £15 3s 1d, marking the largest total since July.

St Marys Strawberry Fete Profits Top £70 At Institute
Georgetown notes the St Marys Church Strawberry Fete at the Institute last Saturday with many stalls and decorated displays. Prizes were awarded for dressed doll, bag of wheat, cushion and lighted candle as the event raised over £70. Other items mention Clover Hill Baptist Sunday School, Jim Hollow’s public social, miniature rifle club, military drill, and local sports like tennis and cricket.

Yearend meeting notes for Order of Nights at Gladstone hall
The final yearly meeting, presided by Mr. B Barrett, planned next year’s activities and formed a committee. Comrades discussed their programme, Ladies Guild met before recess, and a fete report showed just over £97 for Trust and Circuit. Christmas plans include a manger service December 22, a Christmas story with pictures, a December 7 Christmas Tree for tots, and school events. Services at Gladstone on Sunday led by Rev W J Stafford at 11 am and 7 pm cover The Basis of Refusal and The Breaking of Bread, with Communion to follow. Stafford also preaches at Huddleston Sunday afternoon.
